Summer Magic

Many memories,

come to mind –

when the summer comes around again.

Days of barefoot childhood,

when summer meant,

ice cream and watermelon,

swimming and castles made of sand.

Teen summers,

that brought dreams,

of love and first kisses,

beach time fun and swimming among the waves.

Summer magic,

brings with it great delights,

of summer nights.

skies filled with a million twinkling stars.

that disappear when the sun rises,

bringing with it dancing butterflies.

Of moonlight and hand-holding,

wishing special things,

upon fluffy white clouds,

that go sailing by.

Warm breezes,

the scent of flowers all about.

Passionate kisses,

dreaming far into the night.

Summer magic,

brings with it so much,

it all has a special touch.

Love begins anew,

no matter how long you’ve been together,

that summer moon –

will get you singing a new tune.

Long walks in silvery gardens,

and along a brightly, moonlit seashore.

Summer magic,

that stays with you long after the summer is gone

and autumn leaves start to fall.

So enjoy it while you can,

let summer magic into your heart.

Never sleep away those summer nights,

they are just meant for two

and for sharing kisses –

far into the velvety night.
