The Daisy

IMGP2828

Poem number six NaPoWriMo

When I’m feeling low

and it seems there’s nowhere to go,

there is just one flower,

that makes me smile –

the daisy all in white.

A most delightful flower,

so simple in its beauty,

pure and white petals

and a sunny yellow middle.

There is nothing like seeing,

a daisy dancing in the summer breeze,

to lighten my mood

and to make me glad again.

I can truly say,

daisy you make me smile,

it gets its petals pulled,

by lovers who want to know,

if true love is theirs.

For some reason the daisy knows,

it needs no heavy scent,

to be admired.

Daisy so very simple,

you make me smile

and send a lot of love my way.
