But For a Moment In Time

Summer 2012 084

There is but a moment in time

when we are who we are –

a moment to live and to die.

There is but a moment in time

when we can do the dance of life,

like colorful butterflies filling summer skies.

There is but a moment in time

when we can rejoice –

in the awakening that is spring.

Raise our voices

and sing,

praises to nature,

as it starts to come alive.

There is but a moment in time,

when we live leisurely,

as summer days spoil us.

There is but a moment in time,

when the autumn colors –

so lovely make us want to sigh

Then the world turns white and gray,

as snowflakes go dancing through the sky,

when we feel as frozen as the world around us –

in places where winter reigns.

There is but a moment in time.

when we can live, laugh and love,

when there is no doubt that life is wonderful –

that moment is now.

I am fond of winter too. An elegant season, and a time for rest…
