Hearts and Flowers

Riga Holidays 031

Hearts and flowers,

daydreams by the hours.

These don’t amount to much,

if there isn’t love’s soft touch.

Hearts and flowers,

don’t mean a thing –

just meaningless gifts,

given to hide the truth.

Hearts and flowers,

might bring smiles,

they might be appreciated,

but they’re only hearts and flowers.

Give your love to treasure,

give it and never take it back.

Love as though there is no tomorrow

and it will seem –

like in a beautiful dream.

There will always be,

hearts and flowers,

but a love that is true,

is the  rarest of sparkling diamonds.

Any gift in this world,

can be shared.

Love doesn’t have to be there,

just honesty and truth.

So take your hearts and flowers,

as nice as they may be.

Give me love so special –

that it makes all the stars twinkle at night.

If your love is divine and your kisses so fine,

if you will love me forever –

that will mean a whole lot more,

than all of the hearts and flowers,

that you could give to me.

  1. Love it indeed precious – but hearts and flowers have a lot of charm too. Even when the rest of the world seems a little dark…

I have to admit that hearts and flowers can make anyone smile and feel good but they still don’t beat a true love that is forever by your side.
