Embrace Life

Spring Clouds and Flowers 016

Poem number two NaPoWriMo

Even though the world seems angry and rough

the century slightly lopsided

don’t run from life but praise it

imagine it to be a holiday that will end one day

never count money nor years

but the precious moments that you live

because time passes by so quickly

so let go of the tears

take wing and fly over all your troubles

like a bird up high and sing

about life and love

and the blessings they bring

weave a tapestry of stars

that will glitter over you night after night

remember you can’t always be right

but you can follow rainbow bridges

when the road seems so long

thumb a ride on a passing cloud

smile your very brightest

fill your heart with song

build those dream castles

and never let go

for if you have love to show

happiness will be yours

find the time to smile each day

embrace the beauty that surrounds you

stop to smell the roses along your way

know the full joy of living

before you know it

everything will have passed you by

shine your love upon your friends and family

because the time to live is now
