Summer 2012 002

Sometimes I am a unicorn

in my own wildflower meadow

that wants to jump with indescribable joy

among the red and yellow flowers

nodding in the sun

and to drink their sweet dew

that would make me dizzy

just like strawberry wine

but sometimes I am a flower

thirsty for the warmth of the sun

growing in your

magic gardens

lit by silvery moonbeams

but actually I am a bird

that rises into the skies

full of love and hope

to find a land to call my own

where I could blissfully sing

where there is a sea

full of the elixir of youth

I would drink the water

from a large, golden cup

and it would be so very fine

to return again and again

to summertime

Mind you, I am longing for the cool elegance and simplicity of winter.
