Loving Through the Winter

Love becomes warmer in the winter

with kisses melting away the gloom

with fireplaces and candles flickering

love becomes warmer in the winter

hugging tightly while the snow swirls about

the north wind shrills and howls

then your passionate kiss

leaves no doubt as to the warmth it gives

our I love you whispered

swirling upon the frosty air

making the gray days

seem to fade away

holding tight to gloved hands

through the snow we go

leaving footprints behind

that are soon covered

by newly fallen snow

with sincere smiles and twinkling eyes

holding hands while climbing snow hills

trying to catch the silvery snowflakes

that go flying by

perhaps a snow waltz or two

as we glide through the snow and ice

leaves a warm feeling inside

what a comfort love can be

just between you and me

love becomes warmer in the winter chill

  1. Snuggling is easier (and nicer) when we aren’t in the sweaty season it is true. Mind you, I hope that love is always present.
