Down Life’s Road

Just Recently Taken 021

When faced by the truth

you could say

that the road through life

is worth its weight in gold

for so many different reasons

for the beauty of all four seasons

sometimes this world

seems to be spinning

like a crazy, wooden top

and you begin to wonder

how long you’ll last

then a dear friend reaches out

and you hold on fast

the road through life

holds so many wonders

mighty oceans and seas

majestic mountains, rivers, waterfalls and streams

everywhere you look

bountiful with forests

and the wind creates such lovely music

as it whispers through the trees

we’re here for a reason

as the sun rises and sets

each new day is like a grand adventure

isn’t it bliss, isn’t it great

just to be a part of it all

a little wheel in the scheme of things

helping to keep this world turning

keep on walking down the road

better yet, go forth dancing

smiling your most brightest smile

all the while
