Remembering Your Love

N Sun

Somewhere far off

in a long forgotten tower

a bell rings mournfully

and brings to mind an image of you

Like swirling leaves blown by the wind

all that disappears into the night

but the warmth that fills my heart

reminds me of when your cheek was next to mine

The wind blowing through our hair

as we danced upon the shore

the world was ours

when we were together and in love

Your lips are now cold and silent

but once they were so very warm

whispering words of love

I remember the tender kisses we often shared

Now that I remember

I can feel your hand reaching for mine

I gaze at the shimmering stars above

and see your sparkling eyes

A warm golden shower

radiates about me

and I feel your closeness

as it envelopes me

From up above a light shines

and warms my very soul

I know it’s your love

that radiates from above
