At the End of the Day

Just Recently Taken 103

When the sun has gone

And the sky begins to lose its color

In the purple twilight

Another day has said good-bye

My mind now at peace

From the every day

Purple thoughts

Hazy and mild

My mind relaxed

Nothing to worry about

As I watch the twilight

Slowly fade into the dark of night

Someone up above

Turns on the light

As the stars come winking

One by one

Soon up above

There’s a velvety black blanket

Dotted with glittering diamonds

Shining in the night

And I reach for the hand

Of my love

So at first in silence

We can sit and dream

Then softly speak

About our thoughts

Soft mellow wine

To drain away the stress of the day

We sit and soon it feels so good

Another day has come to an end

And we are together

And in love still
